I'm so excited to be doing a giveaway for this book! As I mentioned, it changed my parenting, and in turn, my life.
The Connected Child, co-authored by Karen Purvis, David Cross and Wendy Sunshine, is specifically written for adoptive parents, but has so many wonderful insights for biological parents as well. If you're a parent or know someone who is, you should read this book! You will learn many things about yourself and your children, biological and adopted.

My favorite thing about being a parent is experiencing the world through my kids eyes. There's nothing like it.
The best part of being a parent are the hugs and "loves" as my almost 7 year old calls them. I also love the conversations we have about things that are important to her.
The best part of being a parent is cuddling up at night for stories and looking at the world through their innocent eyes. (OK that is 2 things but I can't decide!) LOL
The best part of being a parent is seeing the gifts that God gave them unfold right before my eyes....and experiencing God with them in worship and studying His Word. And, snuggling up with them in front of the fireplace on a cold evening with popcorn enjoying a good movie.

I think the best thing about being a mom is watching my kids enjoy the food I make!
